Biography
Florian Le Goff is a MSc graduate from Université Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris 6 and Telecom Paris in Computer Networks. His areas of interest include routing issues on large networks, networks, real time and embedded software, unix grand children and many other. He enjoy beautiful system designs, working with smart people near the seaside, building network architectures or using nice languages as C, Perl and Python.
He is now working on access networks evolutions at France Telecom R/D (Orange Labs Lannion).
In the previous years, he also worked or served as an intern in the following companies : Université Pierre et Marie Curie / LIP6 (Research Lab), Typhon (IP Tiers-2), Xooloo (Intelligent Data Filtering), Dolphian (Dynamic Content Filtering), Neuf Cegetel (*DSL provider) and SFR Cegetel (Telco).
Side and student projects
- Wifi Networks on the Campus - a mapping of Wi-Fi networks seen on UPMC's main campus (Ruby on Rails + Google Maps + some 802.11 frame parsing).
- Wi-Fi survey in Paris's 13th district - warwalking and data processing in order to qualify 802.11 access points seen from public spaces.
- Daily walks in Paris: a practical analysis of wi-fi access points - published abstract from our surveys in Paris at Co'Next 2007 - New York City.
- FlickDumpR - Python script designed to fetch pictures from a given account for local storage (and backup), using the Flickr API.
- ImgSynchR - Python script designed to fetch files from a http server and send them elsewhere (via scp). Useful in networks separated by an ssh gateway (with no NAT nor routing capabilities), a common thing on networks with several sensitivy levels.
